Groebe is wearing his former AAU jersey from Team Breakdown. Courted by the likes of Florida, Georgetown, Purdue and Miami (Fl.), Groebe committed to UMass out of high school during the early signing period. After later transferring to Cornell during 2008, he is finally eligible to play for the Big Red during the 2009-2010 season.
