Cornell Men's Basketball To Host Coaches Clinic On Oct. 18

ITHACA, N.Y. -- The Cornell University men's basketball coaching staff will hold a Coaches' Clinic for high school coaches on Sunday, Oct. 18 at Newman Arena in Bartels Hall. The Big Red staff will conduct two sessions of practice sandwiched around a light breakfast and lunch with the staff. The day will wrap up with a question and answer session with the coaching staff and a wrapup of the day.

The clinic will be conducted by Steve Donahue, The Robert E. Gallagher '44 Head Coach of Men's Basketball, and assistant coaches Zach Spiker, Nat Graham and Woody Kampmann. In his 10th season as head coach at Cornell, Donahue has directed the Big Red to consecutive Ivy League championships and NCAA tournament appearances. The 2007-08 NABC and USBWA District Coach of the Year, he was a finalist for the Hugh Durham National Mid-Major Coach of the Year. Last summer, Donahue was selected to be a court coach for the Under-18 National Team. His team has the best Ivy record over the last five years (50-20) and he has coached and or recruited six of the school’s top 20 all-time leading scorers, an Ivy League Player of the Year, an Ivy League Defensive Player of the Year, four Ivy League Rookie of the Year players, five NABC all-district selections, four Academic All-District picks and two Academic All-Americans.
