When Gatlin was signed by Centenary before the 2007-2008 season, former Centenary head coach Rob Flaska commented, “Anthony has unlimited potential and will end up being an all-conference performer at Centenary. He is long, athletic, and has the ability to score inside or out, even to the three-point line. He is also a 4.0 student." Gatlin maintains two years of eligibility and will commence play for Cornell during the 2010-2011 season.
