PRINCETON, N.J. — Ivy League hoops is back in action this weekend, with a slate of games that includes Princeton-Dartmouth as SIRIUS Radio's broadcast of the Ivy League "Game of the Week" on Saturday, in a very special night at Jadwin.
Princeton (9-11, 4-3) and Penn (8-13, 4-3) play host to Harvard (10-12, 2-6) and Dartmouth (6-16, 4-4 Ivy), respectively.
In a ceremony preceding Saturday night's game with Dartmouth, the Princeton University Department of Athletics will be naming the game floor at Jadwin "Carril Court" in honor of Hall-of-Fame coach Pete Carril, who won 514 games and 13 Ivy League championships in 29 years at Princeton.
The Tigers enter the weekend looking to snap their three-game losing streak after starting the Ivy slate 4-0.
Penn, who knocked off Princeton in midweek action, return to the friendly confines of the Palestra in the midst of a three-game winning streak.
Dartmouth and Harvard both enter their weekends losers of two straight, after being swept at Columbia and Cornell a week ago.
Brown (7-15, 1-7) and Yale (9-13, 4-4) are both home for the second straight weekend, as they host Columbia (10-12, 5-3) and Cornell (17-7, 7-1) -- the two teams sitting atop the League standings.
Brown got its first Ivy win last week against Princeton, as the Bears snapped a 0-7 League start. Meanwhile, Yale split their second straight Ivy weekend.
Defending League champs and first-place Cornell got back on track with a home sweep of Harvard and Dartmouth last weekend, while second-place Columbia enter the weekend in search of its fourth-straight Ivy win
