Bears Wrap Up 2010-2011 Season At Cornell and Columbia

Providence, Rhode Island - Coach Jesse Agel's Brown men's basketball team concludes its 2010-2011 season this weekend, March 4 & 5, traveling to Ithaca, New York on Friday to face Cornell, and to New York City on Saturday to complete its season against Columbia. Four Brown seniors – Garrett Leffelman, Peter Sullivan, Chris Taylor and Adrian Williams – will playing the final collegiate games this weekend. All four have made lasting contributions to the Brown basketball program, and have played in a combined 403 career games, with several records set along the way. The trio began their careers with a CBI appearance and school record 19 victories under coach Craig Robinson and assistant coach Agel, and have played for head coach Agel the final three years of their careers.

Brown's Record: The Bears (11-15, 4-8 Ivy) split games with Harvard and Dartmouth last week, falling to the Crimson, 74-68, despite a career high 29 points by Tucker Halpern '13, and defeating Dartmouth, 100-76. The 100 points are the most scored by Brown since a 2004 match-up with Harvard, and the most points scored in the Ivy League this season. Adrian Williams' 26 points led the Bears over the Big Green.

The Brown vs. Cornell Series Record: Brown and Cornell will be meeting for the 117^th time, dating back to 1949-1950, with the Big Red holding a 70-46 series advantage. The Big Red have won the last nine games between the two teams, including an 91-79 win earlier this season (2/2/11) in Providence. Brown' last win over the Big Red was a 69-64 victory in Ithaca on 2/26/06.
